PRESIDENT - MPV-SAN FRANCISCO

Naji Ali is the MPV/S.F. Bay Area Coordinator. From 2002 - 2005 he lived in Israel/Palestine as a human rights worker. Ali has been involved in peace and justice issues since he was 21 when he made a vow that he would never take a job that did harm to others (i.e. military, law enforcement). In addition, Ali has lived and worked in South Africa, Lebanon, Jordan and traveled to more than 30 countries in the developing world in support of the poor and marginalized. Ali converted to Islam over ten years ago and attends jumah prayers at Qal'bu Maryam in Berkeley, Ca. For the past 12 years he's worked at Martin's, a soup kitchen located in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood. He is married to his soulmate, Chrissy, and has a mischievous cat named Mrs. Chippy.
