In just one year, Silver Thread has supported bold and genre-defying Muslim artists across film, television, theater, publishing, photography, and animation while creating spaces for community, collaboration, and visibility in the entertainment industry.
An initiative of MPV, Silver Thread exists to help place Muslim and Muslim-rooted stories at the center of the cultural conversation through storytelling, advocacy, and artistic support.
As we enter our second year, we need your support. Your donation helps us continue funding artists, hosting gatherings, supporting emerging projects, and building a more expansive future for Muslim storytelling.
The Community Arts Grant
The Community Arts Grant supports the development, creation, and promotion of short films, documentaries, and theatre productions that address pressing social issues experienced by the Muslim community. By providing micro-grants and mentorship to these creatives, we foster innovative, thought-provoking content that raises awareness, while simultaneously nourishing a space for marginalized people to feel safe and affirmed in their artistic journey.
