noor shaaban

Noor is a second-year law student at UC Law San Francisco. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Islamic Studies from the University of Zurich. As an Egyptian American Muslim raised in Switzerland, she brings a cross-cultural and faith-informed perspective to her work. At Muslims for Progressive Values, Noor is currently contributing to the organization’s legal advocacy by developing Qur’anic interpretations that support faith-based arguments for justice, dignity, and educational equity in ongoing legal efforts, including amicus briefs. She is particularly interested in the intersection of Islamic thought, civil rights, and international human rights law, and hopes to continue advancing justice through legal advocacy rooted in both legal and spiritual traditions.
