Noor Shaban

Noor Shaaban finds officiating Muslim marriages (nikah) deeply meaningful and is passionate about helping couples begin their lives together with intention and respect. She works especially with interfaith and intercultural couples, creating ceremonies that honor Islamic tradition while welcoming both partners and their families.

A mentee of Ani Zonneveld, Noor is part of the next generation of Muslim women leaders committed to compassionate and inclusive religious practice. She believes faith should not be a barrier to marriage, and that the ability to love across differences is something to be honored.

She recites Qur’anic verses in Arabic and provides clear explanations so all guests can feel included. Noor speaks fluent German, English, and Arabic, and conversational French and Italian, and can incorporate meaningful cultural elements into the ceremony.

Noor is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and is available to travel for ceremonies.
