Narjess Kardan was born and raised in a profound Shia Muslim in Iran. She feels blessed to have her two children, Mohammad Sobhan, 14, and Safia, 11. She completed an internship, a chaplain residency, and an ACPE educator certification program at Houston Methodist Hospital. She has served as chaplain and CPE Educator at Houston Methodist Hospital for six years.

She received a Bachelor of Divinity from Al-Zahra University in Qum, Iran, in 2006. Also, she earned a Bachelor's and a Master of Art in Islamic Thoughts and Theology-Quran Science and Hadith from the prestigious Shiraz University in Shiraz, Iran. She is the author of two books in Farsi and Arabic:” Self-Development in Islam” and “Lexicon of holy Quran’s Verbs,” and several Quranic Study Articles in Islamic Theology Magazine between 2009 and 2012. In 2008, she became a full-time faculty of Islamic philosophy at Shiraz Azad University, and at the same time, she was a researcher and lecturer at Sama University, Al-Qadeer University, and Imam Husain College.

She served as Aleemah as a lady's minister and preacher at the Shia Islamic Center in Houston. For over ten years, she has offered services such as Islamic consulting to the mosque’s congregations and lectures at Al-Mizan Institute about religions, prophets' history, and Quran Exegesis (Tafsir).
