Muslim cultures are rich with a diverse heritage. In December 2022, an art history teacher in Minnesota, U.S.A. was fired for displaying this very artwork, one that visualized an epic moment in Islam, drawn in the 1300s by a Muslim artist. Somehow the depiction of such an iconic art piece was deemed an act of "Islamophobia" of the professor by young Muslim students of the 21st Century. 

As a Muslim organization we decided to create this notebook as a statement that "no", we will not be defined by an intolerant interpretation of Islam which only feeds into Islamophobia itself. And, to censor and silence the arts and the artistic form of expression is in itself the slow choke of our creative spiritual being.
