Raza

Raza is an undergrad student from Pakistan. He’s a Young Human Rights Activist and very passionate about elevating human rights of everyone in Pakistan and around the globe. In addition to his work with MPV, Raza also works to promote the rights of the LGBTQIA Community in Pakistan. His work as an activist and a promoter of human rights was born from his experience witnessing atrocities in both his personal life and across society in his home country. Much of this violence used Islam as a way to justify the violation of human rights and violence these individuals were committing. Looking for a solution, Raza soon realized there was no Inclusive and Progressive Islamic platform in Pakistan, and turning to MPV for assistance, MPV Urdu was born shortly after. Raza is grateful to have lit a candle of hope and inclusivity in a world so often absorbed by the darkness of extremism, fanaticism, ignorance, backwardness and violence. For the Urdu speaking people around the globe Raza shares the following message:

"اسلام تنگ نظر نہیں ہے یہ تو تعلیم سے دور، پدرشاہی سوچ رکھنے والا مُلا ہے جو تنگ نظر ہے۔ جس نے پورے دین کو شدت پسندی اور تنگ نظری کی آگ میں جھلسا دیا۔"
